Remember that JEFF BEAM EP, The Bird Flew? Well, now it’s really up online for free: http://www.zshare.net/download/9298836d84b63e/.

Sad news: A mag we really like, HARP, has gone under, effective with the March/April issue. They had great taste in music and we still have the cover with Neko Case wearing the tiger ears. God, it’s hot.

That new GREETINGS FROM AREA CODE 207 disc really is coming, but CHARLIE GAYLORD’s just now figured out all the songs he wants to include. Look for a release either April 22 or 29.

LOOPIN’, the world-music super group led by SHAMOU, has returned to playing out and intends to record a new album for release before the end of 2008. Shamou is joined by jazz guitarist GARY WITTNER, multi-instrumentalist and composer BARB TRUEX, bassist ANDY CHIPMAN, and longtime INANNA percussionist ANNEGRET BAIER.

Singer/songwriter BOB MCKILLOP will release a six-song EP, Portland Afternoon, with an April 19 party at the North Star Cafe.
