Local flavor

Said Chachi via email: "I was really excited about being part of this project, it's a great mix of artists and styles, and a great reflection of the talent in the state. I really enjoy Andrew's Potholes blog too, reporting on all styles of hip-hop, primarily the 'Indy-Ground.' It is important to support not only the local artists but also the mediums created by those that support our artists."

Martin promised another volume of rare and exclusive cuts from locally-harvested wordsmiths and beatminers, and is looking to expand the roster for future installments (Rhody rap cats: step your game up and drop a line to PotholesInMyblog.com/contact).

"I am always trying to expose people to the best music out there, which is what this sampler is all about," Martin said. "We're exposing the best hip-hop Rhode Island has to offer that some people might not know about just yet."
