What happened to Horan's bounty? Many of the seeds and saplings are currently in the care of the New York State Arborists, a professional association based in Albany that will oversee their growth and propagation, reassuring Horan that "this cockamamie idea of mine had grown into something meaningful and long-lasting, that the trees would live on for others to touch and see and, someday, to climb in, dream from, dance around, and write about."
