THANKFUL
It is Thanksgiving week and P&J have plenty of things to be thankful for. We would never have the space to enumerate them all, but here is a very brief and selective list. We are thankful that TheProvidence Phoenix is still on the streets every Thursday and that "Phillipe & Jorge's Cool, Cool World" is still there. And, of course, we're thankful to the community we like to call "The Biggest Little," our family and friends here in Vo Dilun where everybody knows everybody else.
On this particular Thanksgiving we give thanks for the life and inspiration of Les Daniels, who passed away a few weeks back. We have been hearing from people all over the country who loved and admired Les and his work. Last week there was an obituary in TheNew York Times.
And thanks to the Occupy Providence people for reminding us what we have been doing wrong all along. Now we just have to figure out how to do things right. That is a real challenge.
