You can also get tix online at the Hall of Fame website, RhodeIslandMusicHallofFame.com, which is well worth checking out for a brief look at Rhody's music history. We expect this show to be a sell-out so we urge you to get your tickets in advance so you won't be disappointed. It's Sunday, February 26. Mark that date on your calendar.

OTHER SHOWS

And here are two other shows of note: Duke Robillard will be playing at the Sidebar Bistro, 127 Dorrance Street in downtown Providence this Saturday, February 4 at 7 pm. Always great to hear the Duke on his home turf. Also, the Met is planning a tribute to Tom Ardolino, the great drummer from NRBQ, who passed away last month. The fabulous Chandler Travis will be traveling from Cape Cod to perform at this show (on February 19 from 4 to 9 pm); he's a very funny performer who hasn't played in these parts in a while and that alone is worth your attention.

Send Super Bowl tickets and Pulitzer-grade tips to  p&j@phx.com.

Though he spent a stint as executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation under Governor Lincoln "Missing Linc" Almond, Marcel Valois — the newly named head ramrod of the beleaguered EDC — is hardly a household name in The Biggest Little. (Unless, of course, you live in a household with a lot of people named Marcel or Valois.)
