Now we have Mitt Romney bursting on the scene with his own misguided wardrobe choice. While he has generally been regarded as looking and acting like a Brooks Brothers mannequin, P&J can't help but notice Mitten Man's slacks of choice these days: garrison-belted blue jeans.
It couldn't have been easy to pull this off — imagine having an aide closest to Romney in stature donning the candidate's sole pair of jeans day and night, occasionally rolling on the ground and even sleeping in them, to get some degree of a pre-worn look.
Blue jeans and Mitt Romney go together about as well as blackberry brandy and Sambuca. (Trust us, we know.) And they are so glaringly bullshit, it makes Mitt look like even more of a social buffoon. He could probably pull off wearing some khaki Dockers for that everyman look, but perhaps there is a problem there with VPL ("visible panty line" for the fashion-challenged). Mitt, after all, has to wear those Mormon Magic Superman Underoos.
