Romney seems energized — for now, at least — with Ryan at his side. Lord knows he needed some kind of energy boost for his robotic self, but what he should have done was at least make an attempt to seem to care about the rest of America by picking someone much less like him. Someone of color, or a woman, or maybe a conservative Jew.
But no. He chose the kind of person he's comfortable with and a lot of other white Republicans are comfortable with after the shock of America's first black president.
They're telling us who they care about. Themselves. And all their friends.
Chances are, even if you're white, you're probably not among them.
