And speaking of butts, as J. was leaving, Mac said, "take care of yo' ass." Jorge will.

THE BLACKSTONE RETURNS

One of the big music stories this week is the reopening of the Blackstone nightclub in downtown Providence on November 24. Owner John Lefrancois has been scrambling around for a couple of years trying to secure a building and he recently got the green light. It's on Clemence Street, just off Weybosset, around the corner from Sakis Pizza.

The 16th Annual "Ten Bands/Ten Bucks" benefit will take place on Saturday, featuring U.S. Sam, Eric (Scartissue), Cactus Attack, and Spogga (in what may be one of his last appearances around here for a while, as he is relocating to New Orleans).

The ubiquitous troubadour and master songwriter Mark Cutler will open the show and the legendary Rash of Stabbings will make a rare appearance (that's Karl Fidrych, Bob Hymers, Bob Giusti and Carlotta Christy). If you were out in the clubs in the '80s, you know you want to see this show. Jorge will be there to emcee (i.e., give patrons a hard time).
