Carlos Mencia, Comedian

What’s the difference between Mexican and American comedy? In Mexico they’re still joke-telling. In America, comedians are our philosophers. Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce — these guys are our Plato, our Socrates.

Who’s the funniest person you know? My adopted brother, Albert — but he’s not as funny as my dad. My dad is just naturally funny.

Which could you live without: sex or comedy? Sex. If I couldn’t express myself through comedy, I couldn’t survive.
