HELL ON WHEELS | AMC | November 6 @ 10 pm | AMC is still looking for that third great show to go with Mad Men (returning in 2012) and Breaking Bad. The Walking Dead, which will return on October 16, could theoretically still be that show, but it will have to improve on a wobbly first season without former showrunner Frank Darabont, who was abruptly fired in the midst of production. Or it could be the new Hell on Wheels, which will follow Walking Dead on Sundays. Set during the construction of the Transcontinental railroad in the late 1860s, and it features Anson Mount as a former Confederate soldier hunting down the Union soldiers who killed his wife.
