Situated in the Boston Center for the Arts’ historic Cyclorama building, The Beehive’s sprawling circular structure carries off a delicious Mediterranean hodgepodge menu. Jazz, cabaret, and burlesque music acts perform seven nights a week. And cocktails send you back to the 1920s, all with sophistication and groove. The delectable LA VIE EN ROSE (literally “Life in Pink”) is a cognac infused with lychee, and it’s as sweet as its color suggests. The cocktail is in perfect keeping with the Beehive’s chic French design, meant to emulate a ’20s Parisian artist’s studio in Montparnasse. We always half expect to see Edith Piaf serve us our drink.
