Faces in the crowd at Fenway (II)

Great win for the Red Sox last night, with the 6-5 comeback over the Twins.

It's always fun to check out the crowd. A pair of brothers from Panama, taking in their first game at Fenway, from a perch in section 159, were among those exulting during the big 8th inning. Meanwhile, the guy sitting to my right could barely be moved to applaud earlier, and he and his female companion split before the tide turned. Go figure.

Props to Mass DOT for closing the RI exit to I--95 and not posting any signs for a detour.

It was "tooth night" at Fenway, too (no signs of Dr. Charles), and Pat has a post on our own governor of Sox Nation:

Charles T. (Ted) Schmidt, Jr., a resident of Saunderstown, has been named Governor of Red Sox Nation for the state of Rhode Island.... A retired professor/Labor Arbitrator & Mediator, Schmidt holds degrees at UMass Amherst, Northeastern University (MBA), Cornell's Industrial Relations School (Master's Degree), and Michigan State University (Ph.D.). He is the founding Director of the Schmidt Labor Research Center, which was named in his honor upon retirement from URI in 1999, where he worked for 31 years.
