Rajiv Kumar, the frontman for Shape Up RI 2008, has gotten a lot of attention for his efforts, and justly so. Considering the amount of obesity and lethargy in America, Kumar deserves kudos for his attempt to promote fitness among Rhode Islanders. There will be a kick-off event tomorrow at 11 am at the Providence Place Showcase Cinemas. It's free and various elected officials and special guests are slated to attend.
