Out in the streets, they call it murder. In the confines of the TD Banknorth Garden, though, they just call it
MONSTER JAM. With Hot 97's Hotlerween out of commission, this is now the lone rap/reggaeton/dancehall shindig, with a dozen stars flat killing it courtesy of JAM'N 94.5. Headliners
Ludacris and
Tony Yayo are returning from recent stints in Hollywood and prison, respectively. But the star of the show is
Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, the son-of-Bob whose crossover smash "Welcome to Jamrock" recently returned the family name to the top of the charts. (And to rock stations?) With Don Omar + Rihanna + Teairra Mari + Jermaine Dupri North Station, Boston 7 pm $25-$94 617.931.2000.
Think of this as a warmup: Junior's coming back to headline Avalon in late November (
ticket link), and stay tuned for more on the topic next week, when one of our favorite
Riddim Methodists makes his Phoenix debut.
