Classics

Posted at 04:06 by Importer

Didn't have space to hype this in the paper, but G-squared has Ed OG -- sorry, we refuse to abide by the new punctuation -- at the Paradise. Big shouts to Mr. Peter Parker and the Leedz lads, who're singlehandedly keeping Boston in the game, show-wise. Not to mention they're bringing Devin the Dude up to the Middle East in a minute.

Writing about Ed-O has become a rite of passage for up-and-coming Boston hip-hop critics, resulting in a couple of classic profiles in the pages of the Phoenix. Here's one from 1999 by current New York Times critic Kelefah Sanneh, and another from 2001 by current Entertainment Weekly critic Michael Endelman.
