Broken Social Scene covered Dinosaur Jr. at their semi-secret Brandeis U show last week. Bradley's was there and upped the whole set, then pointed us at some YouTube links:
2. Boston blogger Rbally is packing it in -- which is bad news for all of us who've come to rely on him for our torrent-length live-show downloading. You have until Thanksgiving to hoard all the mp3s you can, from '58 Johnny Cash to Be Your Own Pet. Do not sleep.
3. Ho-Ag is playing a Halloween show as DEVO this year and if you don't think they're up to it, you probably haven't heard that Pipeline! set they did a couple weeks ago where they performed an entire set electronically. That "huh?" sound you hear is every other band in Boston going, "How did they do that? And where did they find the time?"
4.Regular readers of this blog -- or anyone who actually attended the Boston Music Awards -- may recall that Robby Roadsteamer ran off in mid-awards-ceremony with a trophy that rightfully belonged to the Snowleopards. Most people assumed it was part of the act. Which is was, sort of -- except that Robby actually kept the damn trophy. Did he actually give it back? Go watch the video . . .
