UPDATE: Vermont wins bid to host Simpsons premiere

(On short notice, this was the closest thing to a Vermont-related Simpsons clip we could find. It involves syrup.)

We'd call it a mild upset considering the larger towns and states involved, but it's true: Springfield, Vermont will host the Simpsons Movie premiere on July 21st. Congrats to all involved with their campaign.

I am one of 200 volunteers who appeared in the winning Springfield Vermont video. After we won, our local Chamber of Commerce turned its back on us. They excluded us from the premiere, giving our seats to the elite in town instead. And not even a thanks or mention of us in the public ceremony outside the theater.
