The permanent collection features European and American paintings, decorative arts, sculptures, and photographs. The Frank Lloyd Wright Zimmerman House is New England's only Wright-designed home open to the general public. Open on Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sun from 11 am to 5 pm, on Thurs from 11 am to 8 pm, and on Sat from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission $7, $6 for seniors and students, free for children under 18. Free for all on Sat from 10 am to 1 pm.

Highlights include a set of Assyrian reliefs from the palace of Ashurnasirpal II, Northern Renaissance and Baroque prints, and notable works by American artists such as Thomas Eakins, Frederic Remington, and John Sloan. Open on Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 10 am to 5 pm, on Wed until 9 pm, and on Sun from noon to 5 pm. Free.

The home, gardens, and studios of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens feature sculptures of subjects ranging from Pan to Colonel Robert Gould Shaw (a 1997 cast of the memorial displayed on Boston Common). Through October, open daily from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Admission $5, free for children under 16.
