Originally a performance outlet for advanced students of the Cantarella School of Dance, this venue has come a long way from its early years. It now serves as a professional performance center, concentrating on full-length classical ballet and contemporary dance. In summer months, the facility is devoted to dance instruction. Located in Central Square, between Pearl and Brookline Sts. The Dance Complex is a non-profit organization run by artists, dedicated to the education and awareness of dance. This venue is committed to serving the dance community and does so by providing a space for performers and choreographers. Take Exit 2 off the Mass Pike to Rte 20. The Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival features a wide variety of performances between its two venues: the Ted Shawn Theatre, and the Doris Duke Studio Theatre. Regular pre-show and post-show lectures are free along with several other performances, discussions, and exhibits. Call or visit the Web site to purchase tickets. All shows at the Ted Shawn Theatre begin at 8 pm Wed through Sun, with a 2 pm matinee performance on Sat and Sun. $45 to $50 unless otherwise noted. All shows at the Doris Duke Studio Theatre begin at 8:15 pm Thurs through Sat, with a 2:15 pm matinee performance on Sat and a 5 pm show on Sun. $21 to $24 unless otherwise noted.

Take Rte 2 off I-95 to get to the Summer Stages Dance Studio, located in the Dance Performance Studio of Concord Academy. Summer Stages is a facility for student and choreographer alike. Lessons and performances offered as well as lectures and workshops. Free choreographic rehearsal or discussion before shows. All performances begin at 8 pm. Tickets $20, $10 for students.
