The Bowdoin International Music Festival comprises five individual festivals, which run from June 23 through Aug 4. MusicFest, June 29 through Aug 4, has concerts on Fri at 8 pm. This season's theme is "The Great Romantics." Individual tickets are $30, season tickets $150. The Upbeat! series, with a mix of traditional and contemporary works, runs on Wed from June 27 through Aug 1. Tickets are $20, $5 for ages 21 and under, free when accompanied by an adult. The Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music, on July 26, 28, and 29, features works of 20th-century and contemporary American composers. Concerts take place at 7:30 pm in the Studzinski Recital Hall, and there is a suggested donation of $10. Entering its 13th season, PORTopera performs fully staged shows with nationally and internationally-acclaimed performers, this year with guest conductor Giovanni Reggioli.
