Celebrating the French-Canadian in all of us, this festival features fireworks, a parade, amusement-park rides, national music acts, and food. A Thursday night block-party starts off the weekend. Billed as the nation's first 24-hour, non-stop, off-road event, the Jamboree promises to provide lots of action. There will be long jump contests for stock 4x4's, monster limo rides, monster trucks, sand drags, truck pull, fireworks, family camping site, river swimming, music, and a daily swimsuit contest. The event opens at 8 am on July 6 and will run non-stop for three days straight until closing. Daily admission at the gate is $20, $10 for children under 12, free for pre-schoolers. A $90 weekend pass is available that includes three days of camping.
