Dozens of contemporary voices and folk-music legends converge on four stages Aug 3, 4, and 5. This year's acts include Linda Ronstadt, the Allman Brothers Band, Tom Morello, Assembly of Dust, Amos Lee, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and more. Concerts are at the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Fri, and at Fort Adams State Park on Sat and Sun.. Tickets are available at TicketWeb.com, by phone at 866.468.7619, or in person at the festival office, 770 Aquidneck Ave, Middletown, RI. Tickets for Fri are $30 to $85. Advance general admission tickets to Fort Adams events are $55, $59 at the gate, $5 for children two through 12 either day, free for children under two. Features five stages of music and dance showcasing Cajun, bluegrass, country, folk, and blues Aug 30 through Sept 2. The Red Stick Ramblers are this year's hosts, and featured artists include Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Susan Tedeschi, Natalie MacMaster, Donna the Buffalo, and Los Straitjackets with Big Sandy. There is also a family stage, gourmet ethnic food, and vendors with unique imports. Day tickets $25 to $40 if purchased in advance, $30 to $45 at the gate. Special early-bird discount is $130 for a full-festival pass with camping privileges. Children 12 and under free, discounts for seniors available. Other ticket options avaiable. SUNSET MUSIC FESTIVAL

Concerts are held on the historic Newport waterfront June 28 through July 8. This year's lineup includes Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kenny Rogers, Joan Osborne, State Radio, Jack' s Mannequin, moe, Monty Are I, and more. Gates open at 5 pm, music begins at 6 pm, and headliners start at 8 pm. Tickets range from $15 to $75 and admission to each show is sold separately.
