A small drop zone located just a short distance from Providence, Hartford, and Southern MA, Fun Skydiving offers tandem and accelerated free-fall jumps in a comfortable family atmosphere. Facilities include a gift shop, picnic grounds, and an indoor lounge. Open from 8 am to sunset daily, with classes starting every hour on the hour. Located just outside of Millinocket, Jump and Raft is the only resort in the nation to offer a package with both white-water rafting and skydiving, for adults only. The first day of the experience includes white-water rafting on the Penobscot River, an all-you-can-eat barbecue, instruction, and equipment. The following day, a tandem jump with 30 minutes of preparatory instruction offers the ultimate view of the scenic Maine landscape. Videos of your jump are available. Weekdays $279, weekends $299. Lodging available, as well as nightly food, drink, and entertainment.

Jumptown, known as the first sport parachute center in the country, offers tandem and accelerated free-fall jumps, classes, and picnic facilities. Open Thurs through Sun and on some holidays throughout the summer from 8 am to sunset. Tandem jumps cost $200 Thurs and Fri, $215 Sat and Sun. Call for other prices.
