THE BEEHIVE is one of those rare South End hotspots that offers more than just a sumptuous meal (though it will certainly provide that) and a size-up of who’s going to give you your next hummer. A music venue, cocktail craftery, and a slapstick gallery of sorts, the restaurant cum art space is always abuzz with activity. (Come on. That pun was begging to be made.) Local artists provide the visuals, local musicians provide the audibles, and local bohemians provide the ambiance. A dinner here is better enhanced by gawking for serendipitous eye candy (of the artistic — not sexual — persuasion) in various nooks and crannies.
