Best Way To Warm Up A Zombie
Iron Guild
Fire and loud music are two great tastes that taste great together. Add molten metal plus zombies and you approach ecstasy (as well as what seems like a pretty cool new religion). At least, that's the recipe that the IRON GUILD has been cooking up in their nearly 3000-degree furnaces. This gang of punk-rock foundry geeks formed at MassArt in 2003. Now based in Boston and Maine, they continue to present their signature iron pours (as they did last October, at a Halloween performance in Providence). Before a few hundred people, to the accompaniment of moody electronic music, they cast glowing metal skulls, crossbones, and bats. In between, iron workers and bloody zombies face off like Sharks and Jets. Then the zombies attack, crashing through a wall with a giant skull cart. The guild splashes the cart with hot iron, which explodes in a cascade of sparks and flames. And all is right with the world.IRON GUILD | Box 52421, Boston | 207.475.6669 | ironguild@gmail.com | ironguild.net
