Publick House

THE PUBLICK HOUSE
is everything you’d expect in an honest-to-goodness neighborhood bar: unpretentious, loud, and stocked with beers containing up to 12 percent alcohol. Sipping your way through the more than 150 brews and munching on slightly refined pub fare (the homemade veggie burger is a standout), you can even pray for a hangover-free morning (some of the seats are wooden pews). Tap into your inner Belgian, too, with a few brews at the bar-within-a-bar known as Monk’s Cell, where artisan-crafted beers flow for tasting.
