Best Brunch

Zaftigs Delicatessen

Our readers’ favorite brunch spot, ZAFTIGS DELICATESSEN, has a Yiddish name that loosely translates to the grease-the-doorway feeling you have when rolling out of the joint: pleasingly plump. The lines are out the door and around the block for a reason — this place boasts the best fruit-stuffed French toast you’ve tasted and latkes served up with apple sauce and sour cream better than your Bubbe made them. Between the mile-long menu fusing Jewish favorites and American breakfast classics and the fact that there’s beer and wine aplenty, it’s no surprise brunch-goers still flock to Zaftigs like gefilte fish to water.
