Grendel's Den Restaurant and Bar

The sign says it was established in 1271. Impossible, you say? True; that’s a printing snafu that should’ve read 1971. But it just adds to the allure of GRENDEL’S DEN & RESTAURANT — the Harvard Square watering hole that circumvents the no-happy-hour mandate in our buttoned-up state by offering half-price food between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Instead of two-for-one drinks, you get to sip $3 brews while you go medieval on a decent (and cheap) veggie burger.
