Best Place To Hide In Public
The Burren
Hiding in plain sight requires an elusive spirit and the ability to quickly scour public social hubs for private nooks. The cover-band noise and general collegiate cacophony at THE BURREN belies one of Greater Boston's best places to skulk: a tiny cave of a booth in the entryway of the Irish pub's back room — off to the immediate right. It's big enough for only two (three if you're friendly, four if you're wasted to the point of dishrag mobility), but it's a respite from the crackling craic. Recoil from the masses while you judge them, one by every tank-top-and-jeans-tucked-into-furry-boots-wearing one of them.
