Best Place To Piss Off Weekend Brunchers

True Grounds

The hungry and impatient often break from the Sunday-morning line leading to the door of Ball Square's most popular brunch spot and trickle across the street to TRUE GROUNDS, one of the last of the city's indie java-hut gems. Packed with MacBook robots and hiply shaggy students, it's the perfect place to park it with your single cup of coffee while throngs of people clutching baskets of breakfast sandwiches strain their necks, looking in vain for a place to sit while they eat. (Mind you, the oinky table hoggery has gotten so bad lately that, to encourage table turnover, the coffee shop won't even turn on its (free) wireless Internet until late afternoon on the weekends.)
