Best Clothing Store — Men's

Louis Boston

louis

Boston’s in-the-know clothing connoisseurs — male and female — have for years flocked to LOUIS BOSTON’s stately brick building between Newbury and Boylston Streets for just-off-the-runway looks and hard-to-find brands, such as Marni and Kiton. The ladies department has some impressive views of the neighborhood from its vantage point on the top floor. But the men’s department has something else: a center-floor shoe department equipped with a gray velour couch and ESPN playing on a mounted, flat-screen TV. It may be the lazy, sofa-bound roommate to the nearby pristine “Pant Studio” and business-suit suite, or it could be Louis Boston’s attempt to prove its versatility. Either way, catch it while you can — the store will relocate next year, when its lease expires.
