Best Mexican,Latino Restaurant

Tu Casa

While offering a useful reminder that there's still a good, cheap burrito in Portland, Tu Casa thrives on its authentic Salvadoran fare. The plantains are sweet and savory, abundant, and sautéed to perfection, and the pupusa (a disc of corn tortilla with meat or herbed cheese in the center) is, at $1.75, totally irresistible — slice it open and stuff it with cabbage and hot sauce. If there's one Portland restaurant to take an out-of-towner to without worrying about the dent in your wallet, this is the one.
