Best Excuse To Yammer On And On

Live Bait

But you won't. Actually, the people who sign up and step up to the mike for five or six minutes to relate a personal experience on LIVE BAIT nights tend to be pretty restrained. The idea is to stick to the theme of the evening — "A Really Stupid Thing to Do" and "Fake it Till You Make It" have gone over especially well. Have a beginning and end in mind, and it probably will come across as a story, not a ramble. The organizer is performer Phil Goldman, and word has spread so well at Perishable Theatre that he's thinking of adding a second day a month, maybe Sunday, in addition to second-Fridays (usually) at 10 pm. Admission is $5, and it doesn't cost more if you come only to sit shyly and listen. | 95 Empire Street, Providence | myspace.com/livebait_latenight
