Best Blues With Bright Notes

Tini

The first thing you need you know is that it's called TINI, as in a martini, not Tini's, as in "that guy over there owns the place, but nobody's had the nerve to tell him that his nickname is spelled T-e-e-n-y." Actually, the owners are Johanne Killeen and George Germon, the restaurant royalty who founded and own Al Forno. This is, in fact, a tiny place, with room for just a horseshoe bar, but tres chic. Their high-tech version of a chalkboard is a wall monitor that flashes menu items, four or five at a time. A cute menu category is a list of five drinks under "George's Blues," hued accordingly. They are $7-$14, from the Not Não George, a blue caiparinha, to the Blue Boy, a champagne cocktail with blue curação. Bottoms up. | 200 Washington Street, Providence | 401.383.3400
