Best Good-Looking Dive Bar Crowd

E&O Tap

The Decatur Lounge is still sorely missed, but many of the West End regulars now fill the E&O TAP, around the corner on Knight Street. This is the quintessential dive bar, and reminds us of a few spots we've encountered in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn: a patio out back, a nice selection of bourbon and scotch and some great draft finds, and some Sonic Youth blaring on the stereo. Hooker and Abita Turbodog on tap — keep 'em coming? The place is always packed with a lot of furry-faced dudes resembling roadies for Band of Horses and the tatted bartender chicks are gorgeous-— and can probably kick your ass. But the scene is friendly and the patrons are always smiling, particularly during Ladies Night every Tuesday. | 289 Knight Street, Providence | 401.454.4827 | eotap.com
