Best Place To Take A Bite Out Of James Woods

Mousie’s Deli

The pride of Pilgrim High School will be forever etched into our favorite New York-style sandwich stop, MOUSIE'S DELI, residing in the Gateway Shopping Center (or Ben Franklin Plaza, for retro locals) at Hoxie Four Corners. Mousie's has been serving "the taste of Manhattan in RI" for close to 30 years, and the nondescript strip plaza hasn't changed much over the decades (though we do miss the Pop Shoppe) and neither has the stellar and super-friendly service, the well-worn wooden tables and chairs, and that enticing aroma of sweet pickles, celery salt, and carnivorous delights, with 34 "Mighty Mouthfuls" (all under $7) to choose from, like the classic Thanksgiving, the Magee Hickey (with hot corned beef and pastrami, melted Swiss, coleslaw and Russian dressing), and timeless combos named Movies and More, the Doug White, and the James Woods — paper-thin sliced turkey with onions, hard-boiled eggs, and Russian dressing on rye for under $5. Or, grab the new #35 — PB&J or Fluff on white bread for $1. Open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm | 1619 Warwick Avenue, Warwick | 401.737.3696
