Rolling Stone contributing editor and Boston native Rob Sheffield stops by Brookline Booksmith to discuss his latest book, Talking To Girls About Duran Duran: One Young Man's Quest For True Love And A Cooler Haircut (Dutton Adult). The coming-of-age narrative follows the music journalist through his awkward teenage years in the ’80s, as backdropped by the tunes of Duran Duran and the not-so-sweet sound of female rejection. Sheffield’s tome is equal parts goofily irreverent, bitingly funny, and quietly poignant.
