Although the Edinburgh-born KT Tunstall is best known for the blues-inspired 2005 hit “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” the singer-songwriter has actually been quite prolific, cranking out four albums (three studio, one acoustic) in just six years, and she’s a talent more akin to the rock icons of the ’70s or classic vocalists of old. New England is close to her heart — she attended prep school in Connecticut and busked on the streets of Burlington, Vermont — so she’ll probably feel right at home at the House of Blues.
