Friendly Fires + Wise Blood
Those still reeling from the loss of LCD Soundsystem, might do well to check out likeminded Brits, dance punk outfit Friendly Fires at the ’Dise tonight. The St. Albans-bred trio have been around for a while, enjoying moderate levels of fame and acclaim across the pond for their party-starting electro anthems that nod to both Daft Punk and the dearly departed Soundsystem. That all might be changing soon; their just-dropped Pala (XL Recordings) has already earned the band all sorts of big ups, delivering feverish, Afrofunk-infused, electro dance rock that’ll ignite a flame under your ass tonight, with Wise Blood.
