Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Ceremony
Today, Hasty Pudding Theatricals fêtes actress Julianne Moore, whom the drag-happy collegiate society has named its 2011 Woman of the Year. (Advance advisory: HPT’s Man of the Year, Jay Leno, will be honored on February 4.) The celebration begins with a parade down Mass Ave in Harvard Square, and ends with a roast at New College Theatre. Moore’s horrific Boston accent on 30 Rock had better be at the top of the list come roast time — though the star of last year’s excellent The Kids Are All Right is a brilliant and beautiful actress, we shudder at the mere thought of her uttering “pahk the cah in Hah-vahd yahd” during the festivities. Catch a glimpse of the four-time Oscar nominee during the parade, then head to the ceremony.
