Those who doubt that rap is an art form would do well to check out Queens-bred MC Pharoahe Monch. Not only did he go to high school with Mobb Deep’s Havoc and Prodigy, but he’s known for complex stylings and intricate, thoughtful lyrics. Dude is a goddamn linguist is what we’re saying. Monch spins his hip-hop poetry — along with a crew of MCs and rappers including Retrospek, Nezze Ne, and Big Kurt & PK-30 — for a show that’s sure to force you to “get the fuck up”
