Boston Ballet's "World Passions"
Opera House
Boston Ballet's
second program of the season, "World Passions," is an attractive-looking grab
bag, with company ballet master Pino Alosa's version of Paquita, Helen
Pickett's world-premiere duet Tsukiyo (to music by Arvo Pärt), Viktor
Plotnikov's duet Rhyme (to Chopin's Sonata for Cello and Piano), which was a
big hit at last year's "Night of Stars" gala, and Jorma Elo's Carmen, which has
been revised since its May 2007 debut. It's all at the Opera House, 539
Washington St, Boston | $25-$132 | October 22-November 1 | 617.695.6955 or www.bostonballet.org.
