A slick yet welcoming wine bar overlooking the water. Although its “bar bites” are incredibly pretty to look at, the restaurant is known less for its food and more for its extensive list of wines. Daniel Bruce, head chef at the Boston Harbor Hotel, launched the Boston Wine Festival, the “nation’s longest running food and wine pairing series.” In fact, the dinner menu at Meritage is arranged according to the quality of wine it best befriends. Dressy attire, call ahead to reserve seating. Valet parking is complimentary when dining at Meritage.
