So do you have a novel in the works?
I do. I started working on one as a necessity. Now I want do it, I want to finish it, because, again, I approach everything as a narrative problem. The challenge here is if I can tell a story and keep it going for about 300 pages. I guess I should try and do that at least once.

Do you feel more of a sense of urgency now that the collection is coming out?
Yes, I do. There is value in a deadline. There is a great sense of urgency. I’m not panicking yet, but I will. You’re not the first one to ask.
