If The Adjustment Bureau confused you about the grand plan of the man upstairs, don't expect John Milton (Nicolas Cage) in Patrick Lussier's 3D revenge flick to explain the ways of God to man. Or rather, the murkier motives of his opposite number, since- In a muscle-car variation on Cage's Ghost Rider - Milton is a fugitive from Hell. In addition to the obvious reasons for escaping, he wants to avenge his daughter, who was murdered by cult leader Jonah King (Billy Burke), and rescue his infant granddaughter, whom King has kidnapped to sacrifice to Satan. Meanwhile, the Accountant (William Fichtner), an agent of the Evil One, is out to bring Milton back, and that affords Fichtner opportunities to out-emote Cage while dispatching random victims. Along for the ride is Piper (Amber Heard), who looks hot in cutoffs and is adept at punching out naked women. It's like a discarded episode from Grindhouse, only longer and less funny.
