WALLFLOWER?: Viglione stays busy.

Amanda Palmer may be the public face of Dresden Dolls, but drummer BRIAN VIGLIONE is no shrinking violet. He wraps up an Enormous Room residency — playing original modern jazz — with pianist Gil Aharon and bassist Andrew DiMola this Sunday. He just hosted two local drum clinics, and he has another one at JamSpot in Somerville on March 24. “The first lesson is how to hold your eyeliner pencil,” he quips. Viglione also played on HUMANWINE’s Fighting Naked, which was recorded in January at High-N-Dry and is slated for release later this month. Humanwine singer/guitarist Holly Brewer attended first grade with Viglione in Greenville, New Hampshire. He begins a three-week tour with her band on March 27 that circles back to the Paradise April 20. And in June he starts a three-week Dresden Dolls tour with Cyndi Lauper, Deborah Harry, and Erasure that stops at Bank of America Pavilion June 16.

In 1990, ELAINE O’ROURKE came to Boston from Ireland’s County Wicklow “to make loads of money and travel the country.” She did travel the country. Over time, she began to sing — first with Boston Rock Opera — and two and a half years ago, having moved to Gloucester, she began No Beginning, No End. “It kinda unfolded as we went along,” she says of the CD, which has a melancholic Celtic folk flavor. The singer/guitarist plays a free gig at Toad March 21 at 7 pm with violinist Jim Lounsbury and guest saxophonist Henley Douglas Jr. . . . GUSTER have teamed up with the environmental action group Reverb to launch the second Campus Consciousness Tour, which comes to the Opera House April 20 and 21.
