Perhaps you've seen "Scrat's Continental Crack-Up," the animated short that debuted theatrically a year and a half ago featuring the sabre-toothed squirrel causing a prehistoric tectonic cataclysm as a result of his pursuit of an elusive acorn. Fans of the decade-old Ice Age series will recognize the opening moments of this fourth feature installment (directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier) as recycled from that short. It's still funny, but you've seen it all before. Manny the mammoth, Sid the sloth, and Diego the sabretooth tiger (once again voiced by Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Denis Leary, respectively) are still inseparable and still getting into trouble. Manny's dealing with a teenage daughter (Keke Palmer), Sid's taking care of his Granny (Wanda Sykes), and Diego's met his toothsome match (Jennifer Lopez). A ragtag menagerie of pirates that sails in on an iceberg only adds to the déjà vu. Avast!
