DAN TEPFER | The pianist played a sublime duo show with Lee Konitz at the Regattabar, returned to the club with his own trio — bassist Joe Martin and drummer Colin Stranahan — and finished the year with his solo piano disc, Goldberg Variations/Variations (Sunnyside), alternating Bach's written pieces with his own improvisations.
