PURITY RING | Listen: "Belispeak" | The problem with any band being billed as "future pop" lies in the relentless pursuit of the present. Surely anyone who used the term a decade ago sounds as fresh as Ladytron. But the eastern Canada duo of Megan James and Corin Roddick, who reside in Halifax and Montreal, respectively, keep tomorrow's aural fixation just out of yesterday's reach; "Belispeak" flickers and throbs like a ghost from the . . . ahh, fuck it . . . the future.
