Dr. Dog is the drug

By RYAN REED  |  March 14, 2012

"In the beginning, we weren't making albums for people to hear — we were just making a song whenever we had a free night, having as much fun as we could," Leaman says. "As you go on, you start making records that people are actually going to hear, so you think maybe you should put a little more professionalism in it, I guess. Eventually that makes it cold, because you're thinking about it too much. You can tell when a band's not having fun in the studio on the record — that definitely translates."
